When the Prince of Zumunda (Eddie Murphy), named Akeem is arranged to marry a perfect woman to satisfy all his needs to be his queen. But he really does not want to marry because he believes in marrying for love and not tradition. So he takes off with his servant and friend Semmi (Arsenio Hall) to United States to find his queen. To find her where else would he go, but Queens in New York. The secretly royal pair start to work at McDowell's, a rip off of McDonalds and Akeem falls in love with the bosses daughter but shes dating a cocky arragant rich man. One of Murphy's best. Absolutely hilarious. Hall and Murphy do a fantastic job, especially playing the multiple characters they do. I've heard some people credit this film as possibly being the funniest movie ever made.
