Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Crossing the Bridge

Written and directed by Mike Binder, Crossing The Bridge stars Josh Charles as Mort Golden, a twenty-one-year-old growing up with his buddies Tim and Danny in Detroit Michigan in 1975. The coming of age tale doesn't really get going until Tim, Danny and Mort meet up with a pothead named John Anderson (David Schwimmer) in park drinking beers. Anderson makes an offer to the boys to make a drug run into Canada to pick up some hash in which they could make nine thousand dollars. This storyline is put on hold as the movies veers into the individual thread of each characters hardships. Tim is having trouble with his father who likes to beat him. Danny can't come to grips with losing the status of being the football star that got all the girls in high school and his alcoholic father who is selling thier house. Danny is dealing with his desire to be a writer, getting accepted to college, never getting over a lost love, and getting fired from his uncle's typewriter store. After all this, the drug storyline comes back when Danny decides he wants to make the run. They eventually go into Canada where they run into a lot of trouble with the drug dealer and Danny, Tim, and Mort all change from the experience.
