Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Damage

When a member of parliament and aspiring prime minister Dr. Stephen Fleming (Jeremy Irons) meets Anna Barton (Binoche) - the much younger and sensuous fiance of his son Martyn (Rupert Graves) - he wants her. Regardless of Stephen's family and political career, they begin a torrid affair underlined by sexual gratification. But outside thier physical urges, Anna's bruised past finds solace in Stephen's maturity while Stephen feels rejuvinated, much beyond the monotony of political life. Both of them love Martyn, but while Stephen grows increasingly obsessive about the relationship, Anna prefers to be surreptitious. It is not long, however, before Martyn discovers them in the middle of a reckless caper. The "damage" is done and Stephen and Anna will have to live with the consequences.
