The main character in Deadfall is Liza, played by the beautiful Olivia Wilde. The other main character is Liza's brother, Addison, played by Eric Bana. At the beginning of the film, the audience learns that Addison, Liza, and Theo have just robbed a casino and are headed to Canada. Theo hits a deer and runs off the road, killing himself. Liza and Addison make it out with a few bumps and bruises, but nothing serious. The two make a pact to separate for now and then meet up again once they reach Canada. Addison gives Liza half of the money.

Liza is picked up the the handsome Jay, played by Charlie Hunnam of Sons of Anarchy fame. They end up falling in love quickly. While that is happening, Addison is on a murder spree and is leaving a very big blood trail. The small town cops are after him, but they always seem to be one step behind.
It's thanksgiving, and Addison appears at Jay's parents house and ends up holding them hostage. Then, Jay and Liza arrive at the house for dinner, even though he's not speaking to his father. His father is disappointed in him because he threw a fight for money and then spent time in jail. In fact, he just got out of jail.
Liza is shocked to see Addison already there. Liza and Addison pretend that they don't know each other at first, but after a few comments about having a brother the family realizes that Addison and Liza are siblings. The thrills continue as Addison once again turns to violence. The small-town sheriff finally catches up with Addison and a gunfight ensues. Without giving away the ending, I will say that you will be a little surprised about how Addison meets his demise.
Best part of story, including ending:
I really enjoyed this movie, though I don't condone stealing, killing, and lying. But as far as an adventure story, it was good. I was continuously routing on the good guys and anxiously waiting for Addison to get what he deserved.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene in the movie is the very end, when karma comes back to Addison and he pays for his crimes. And I think at the same time, Liza feels liberated and will go one to lead a much better life without her brother.
Opinion about the main character:
Olivia Wilde did a great job playing Liza, who is a troubled young lady who was abused by her father when she was a child. But I wish Liza wasn't such a con artist trying to take advantage of people. But it was good to see her open up and show her true colors as the end of the movie got closer. Addison is one of those characters that you love to hate. He's a bad guy, and Bana does a great job portraying this monster of a man.
