Quite early in the film, he dies in a plane crash. She then finds some of his old baseball cards. She notices that they have strange markings on them and remembers her husbands strategy of identifying the stats on the baseball cards to correspond them to a bank account.
When she gets to the first bank and closes the account and takes the money, she thinks this was her husband's way of making sure that her and their kids were taken care of financially. There she meets Liam Neeson, a man who works for a charity that feeds starving people around the world.
These baseball cards take her around the world, and during that time, she discovers that her husband was somehow involved in a company that makes ink for pens.
Nothing seems to add up and when she flies to Egypt, she discovers that there is something strange about a chemical (Dinochloride) that is used in pens but is also used in chemical weapons.
She again meets Liam Neeson, who works for the company that he deceased husband worked for. She has also found out that her husband isn't dead at all and that he is onto the fact that someone is taking the money he took such pains to hide.
