Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Delta Farce

Three goofy guys, who are called into active military duty from the army reserves, get lost in Mexico but think they are in Iraq. Larry the Cable Guy (that's his name) plays the main character Larry. A General addresses the troops saying America is facing some of the toughest times ever and we really need heroes. Larry works in a diner. His girlfriend comes to his work and tells him she is pregnant. He announces this over the PA system and proposes to her. She says the baby is not his. His friend Bill (played by Bill Engvall) is trailer trash who does not have to work because he got a settlement from a slip and fall at Wal-Mart. Their other friend, Everett (played by D J Qualls), works as a security guard at a self-storage.

Larry, Everett and Bill go on the weekend, once-a-month army reserve training.   Sgt. Kilgore (played by Michael Rose) is sent to go get the boys for a special mission. They are called to active duty. Kilgore puts them through the training on the obstacle course. They are shipping out to Iraq. They start singing Glory Halleluiah. The ship out on a cargo plane. In order to get more comfortable they get in a jeep in the cargo hold of the plane to sleep. The plane encounters some bad weather. The plane is quickly losing altitude, so the pilot dumps all the gear including the jeep they are sleeping in. The sergeant gets dragged out by the netting that covers the cargo.   Parachutes automatically deploy so they land safely in the desert, but the Sergeant seems to have been killed in the drop. The first thing that happens after they land is Everett breaks the only radio they have. They bury the Sergeant when they find his body nearby. They suit up and take a Humvee loaded with arms towards the nearest settlement. They think they are in Iraq but they are actually in the deserts of Mexico. They find an abandoned gas station. Two guys come up with a donkey. Everett shoots at them but only hits the donkey. The Americans offer them freedom. The Mexicans ask for help with their village, which is under attack. The donkey rises up, it was stunned but not killed. Back at the landing sight, the Sergeant comes up out of the shallow grave. He is still alive also.

They see the village is being attacked by bad guys. They come into the village, shooting up the place. The bad guys runs away in a truck, but they catch one. The village is happy they came to the rescue and throw them a party. Larry gets kissed by a pretty girl named Maria (played by Marisol Nichols). The Sergeant gets a ride from two Mexicans in a car who pass by.
The bad guys, who escaped, tell their boss Carlos Santana (played by Danny Trejo) about the troubles with the village. The Americans go back to the supply drop to get more supplies and see the empty grave of the Sergeant. The Sergeant escapes from the two men who are trying to sexually molest him. Bill finds out, from the bartender; there is a telephone. The bartender takes him to the phone, which is on the outskirts of town. Carlos Santana and his men capture Bill. Bill tells Carlos there are only three American soldiers and they thought they were in Iraq. The bad guys invade the village with Bill bound. The Sergeant arrives. They have a gun fight. Everett fires a rocket launcher in the air. I comes directly back down, which scares everyone off. It lands in a dry well and brings up the water, bringing the village water again for the first time in years. The bad guys leave with the Sergeant captured. At the bad guys camp they enjoy wrestling as entertainment. Bill and Larry come to rescue the Sergeant. The Sergeant is being tortured. He is forced into singing “I Got You Babe” with a fat gay Mexican guy. Everett, wearing a costume, enters the ring to wrestle. Larry frees the Sergeant. They blow up all the Mexicans' vehicles and escape.

They bad guys come to attack the village with a tank. The rocket launcher is blown up so Larry uses an old cannon to destroy the tank. All the villagers join in the fight to rid the town, once and for all, of the bad guys. Santana kidnaps Maria. Larry saves her, as U.S. Army helicopters arrives. All the bad guys are taken prisoner. Bill gets shot in the ass. Bill's wife called the Pentagon to get the Army to come save him. The General gives medals to the Sergeant and to each of the three men. The Sergeant becomes a boot camp aerobics instructor in Florida. Everett becomes a famous Mexican wrestler “Carne Asada.” Bill gets a settlement from the Mexican government for his injury and retires to Beverly Hills. Larry marries Maria and opens a bar in Cabo San Lucas. After he is rehabilitated, Carlos Santana becomes a ventriloquist.
Best part of story, including ending: The story is funny because it is redneck humor in Mexico.

Best scene in story: I like the wrestling match where Everett makes his first appearance as "Carne Asada." He is a skinny little twerp that fights a huge muscular guy and wins. It is really stupid, but funny at the same time.

Opinion about the main character: I like when Larry the Cable Guy uses all the most memorable slogans from all the other military branches and the Peace Corps, but not until the end does he use "Be All that You Can Be" which is the correct one for the Army. He is so dumb, yet sincere.
