I cant believe this hasn't been reviewed yet!! Simply the greatest martial arts film of all time!!with the greatest martial artist of all time; John Saxon!!! I'm kidding you rubes. This movie will forever be the saddest reminder that there is no justice in fate. Bruce Lee, having conquered all of Asia, had finnally made his crowning triumph, Warner Brother's "ENTER THE DRAGON". You know Lee staged all the fight scenes as well as helped greatly with the script and dialougue for his character, a Shao Lin monk who is asked by Interpol to help infiltrate the Island-held fighting tournament of Hahn(Kien), a diabolical drug merchant. Martial artists from the world over are gathered here, including Roper(Saxon),a gambler with dangerous debts, and Williams(Karate champion Jim Kelly), a Watts Karate instructor with dangerous 'Fro. Lee enters the tourney after being told that O'Hara(Wall),one of Hahn's thugs, was responsible for Lee's sister's death at the time of the last tournament. Lee's mastery of Jeet Kun Do was unparalleled and it shows. His moves are rich and extravagant, and riveting to watch. The guy was also lightning fast. And i'm not just typing that to type it. THE--GUY--WAS--LIGHTNING--FAST. Lee competes, but his mission is to get evidence of Opium smuggling. And when he is inevitably discovered, he cuts loose with probably the most remembered battle sequence in the history of film. Really. The sadness is that a month before the Premier and release of Enter The Dragon, Bruce Lee died from an allergy to medicine he had taken for a headache. He was on the doorstep of America accepting him. Weeks away from his dream, he collasped. It was like Kennedy had died again. I still feel a loss, and i was like, 7. Post your comments but see this film if you haven't yet. I'll bet you'll have a new favorite.
