EUREKA is a movie directed by Nicolas Roeg in 1986.

In 1925, Gene Hackman has become immensely wealthy by finding gold in the Alaskan mountains. Now, 20 years later, he must face two problems his money can't solve.

First of all, the Miami mob wants him to sell his island in the Caribbean in order to build a casino. By refusing to make a deal, a despising Hackman will hurt the feelings of the mean Joe Pesci.

Hackman is more preoccupied by his daughter Theresa Russell who's secretly married the French Rutger Hauer. Hackman can't leave Theresa, his only child, and will have numerous violent discussions with Hauer who's not impressed at all by Hackman's money.
