It's a hot day in Los Angeles, and a very bad one for Bill Foster. Bill is sitting in traffic, bothered by various things around him, when he decides to leave his car and walk home. While wandering around Los Angeles, he meets assorted characters and becomes unhinged. Paralleling this story is a story about a detective named Prendergast's (Duvall) last day of work.

The review of this Movie prepared by Ben
It is 92 degrees outside, and A man (Michael Douglas)is in his car only to realize that the air conditioning is broken. As he is waiting in the 2 mile traffic jam all of the little things start getting to him. The big toothed garfield on the window of the car next to him, the gum chewing and music listening on the open bus, and a bug on his neck. He quickly reaches for the manual stick to open the window and turns it as fast as he can, but it breaks. He finally reaches for his brief case and opens the door and steps out, shouting "I'm Going home." This movie is about the Journey he takes through the city and through the run down part of town to get home. As he snaps along the way, his encounters with every day people become as unordinary as seeing a giraffe mate with an elephant. This Movie is a great soul searcher and really sais that if you take away all of my morales, then what is stopping me from killing you. I give this movie the three finger nails up for great quality, good plot, and great character development. This movie is so unexplainable I will use an adjective that will ferril used to describe James Lipton, this movie is Scrumtrillesant.
