Fever Pitch is the story of Paul and Sarah, teachers at the same London suburban school. Sarah is somewhat dour, serious, and professional, while Paul is unapologetically wild, uninhibited, and completely obsessed with arsenal football (soccer). Paul thinks Sarah is frigid, Sarah thinks Paul is a lunatic. Yet the two are drawn to each other. It doesn't take long for a relationship to develop (the first date!), but the relationship is rocky. Sarah has a hard time dealing with Paul's wild obsession for football, and makes little effort to understand his feelings. Meanwhile Paul tends to overlook working on the relationship in favor of a football match. Can Sarah learn to live with such a crazed fanatic? And can Paul learn that Sarah is more important than an arsenal winning season?
