Detailed plot synopsis reviews of A Fistful of Dollars

A stranger rides into a small Mexican town where he and his mule encounter gunplay from employees of one of the town's factions. The stranger, very reasonably, asks the gunmen to apologise to his startled mule and all will be forgiven. His request is laughingly refused, leaving the stranger no option but to respond in kind. Impressed with the stranger's skills a rival faction offers the stranger work. But the stranger decides to play each faction off against the other, since he figures the town would be better off without either of them, save a woman her husband and child, and make a better profit.
