Professor Daniel Potter (Randall), a pleasant but somewhat absent-minded biologist, has tamed a lion called Fluffy, with whom he performs various experiments. Janice Claridge (Jones) is Potter's devoted fiancee, though she is unsure of his feelings for her. Fluffy is equally devoted to him, and Potter can't shake the beast, who follows him everywhere, sowing utter terror in bystanders who flee for their lives, though Potter assures them Fluffy is "harmless, I tell you, harmless!" This 1965 film, which features many familiar supporting faces, including Jim Backus, Dick Sargent, Whit Bissell, and Doodles Weaver, was made by folks who mostly worked in TV, and has the sort of charming weightlessness of a TV sitcom.
