The unsuspecting groom finds that his seatmate is an impetuous woman named Sarah (played by Sandra Bullock). This crazy woman is beautiful but rather impulsive and unconventional.
The movie really begins when their plane crashes and goes skidding in Flushing Bay. Luckily no one dies but Ben is left stranded with hundreds of miles and only two days between him and the wedding. Ben starts his desperate attempts at making to his wedding on time and sets off on his journey to the beautiful city of Savannah. Sarah accompanies him in this journey, whether he likes it or not!
On their way to Savannah they encounter all kinds of bad weather like hail, , rain, wind, a hurricane and all the weird forces of nature you ca think of! Thus the name of the movie Forces OF Nature. Nature is sort of a character in this movie who is trying to keep Ben away from Bridget and his wedding and keeping Sarah and Ben together.
A little into the craziness, Ben starts being a little less annoyed by Sarah and panics at apprehending that there was a definite attraction between them. And the feeling was mutual as Sarah also started liking Ben more than she had intended to.
When they finally arrive at savannah after beating man, machine, forces of nature and whatever else got into the way Ben goes to his fiancé but soon questions his feelings for her. He starts wondering if he and Sarah had been brought together by some higher cosmic power and if he was making a mistake by letting that go. At the other side of the movie Sarah finds herself doing the same sort of thinking. Then they both realize that they did in fact did love each other and like all romantic comedies the movie ends with their happy union.
It's a nice movie with some good comedy and Sandra Bullock, no matter how eccentric, is as funny as always. The acting by all the actors was great and it was fun to watch an odd couple such as Ben and Sandra and it was an innovative idea to give nature such a prominent role.
It's a nice family movie and has been rated 13. for a scene containing drug abuse.
