FRISCO KID is a Warner production directed by Lloyd Bacon in 1935.

San Francisco, 1854. James Cagney is a smart sailor who will become a wealthy club owner of the Barbary Coast. He'll fall in love with Margaret Lindsay who belongs to the San Francisco bourgeoisie and is campaigning against the corruption in the City. When the journalist Donald Woods is murdered, the honest citizens of San Francisco decide to take the law into their hands and set the fire to the Barbary Coast dives.
