Directed by Henry Hathaway in 1954. Hooker, Fiske and Daly disembark in a small Mexican village when their boat has mechanical problems. The same evening, Leah Fuller offers $ 2,000 to each one of them if they accompany her through the territory apache in order to save her husband, blocked by a crumbling in their gold mine. They all start a dangerous journey through mountains and deserts. Daly tries to seduce Leah but he's rejected by the young woman and Hooker teaches him a lesson.

After a few days, they finally arrive at the gold mine and save John Fuller who has nevertheless a broken leg. As the Apaches come nearer, the group decides to leave the area at once. Daly and Fuller are soon killed by the Indians who follow them closely. Fiske proposes to remain alone in ambush to allow Hooker and Leah Fuller to elude an inevitable death.
