Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Get Real

In this romantic coming of age story, Kevin (Ben Silverstone) is an outcast student at his school. The jocks pick on him and attack him, at one point throwing his school bag over the school wall. Kevin has realized something about himself since he was eleven, he's gay. This, in addition to the fact that he meets the most popular guy in school, John (Gorton) at a public bathroom, makes for a very tense, very emotional movie.

An unpopular, gay high school boy, who has not yet come out to his friends or family, looks for true love, and finds it with the school's most popular jock, who also happens to be a closet case. In the course of their relationship, nothing seems to go right. The dreamboat jock won't even speak to him in public, causing a lot of hurt feelings and misunderstandings.
Eventually, the character shows off his strong side and reveals his own sexuality at a school assembly. The audience is appauled, but the people who are most important to him except him for who he is.
