Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis play three scientists who are kicked out of their university. They then decide to start their own buisness fighting ghosts. Later, a musician called Dana goes to their aid saying that there is a monster in her fridge. The leader, Peter, falls in love with her, and then realizes that there is demi-god in her building, and now the Ghostbusters must stop it, before it takes over New York. This comedy is as fun as it can get, with incredible one-liners and brilliant special effects. Bill Murray leads a spectaculer ensemble cast.

This film centers around three men who exterminate ghosts, goblins and other supernatural beings. Slimer and the Staypuff Marshmallow Man are the two most noticeable creatures here. The effects may be wacky, but they're rather fun to watch. There are two more sequels to this, and it also inspired an animated TV series. So for fun that's out of this world, who you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!

Three unemployed professors of parapsychology team up and establish a ghost removal service based in an old firehouse. They handle several small jobs just fine, and then pretty Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) hires them to exterminate her haunted New York City apartment. The task turns out to be much bigger than anyone expected, with Dana getting possessed by Zuul, the Gatekeeper, and our heroes having to call out the City and their big guns. You'll never look at a Stay-Puft marshmallow man the same way again. Between Bill Murray's sarcastic deadpan and its creditable special effects, this delightful movie was a smash hit in 1984, raking in $220 million domestically on its first run.
