It's a few days before Christmas. Ronna (Polley), Claire (Holmes) and Mannie (Bexton) are friends who work at a grocery store. Ronna needs to make some extra money in order to not be evicted. She enters into a drug deal with Adam (Wolf) and Zack (Mohr) but they too have an agenda of their own. They are setting up Ronna for the drug deal in order to be free of their own problems with the law. Simon (Askew) wants to go to Las Vegas for the weekend but once there he has sex with two women, sets a hotel room on fire and shoots a bouncer in the arm at a bar. His problems with the law follow him home to California. This movie is told from three different perspectives and takes place in one night.
