British Newcomer Michael, attends Rydell High in 1961 and is smitten by Stephanie, leader of the cool girls group, the Pink Ladies. She just broke up with her boyfriend, Johnny, and wants a leather clad motorcyclist to whisk her away, not a geeky foreigner or dumb stud. She is hoping for some middle ground by singing about her "Cool Rider", who surprises her by actually showing up!
