A cop (Sasha) goes undercover to take down a major criminal. While undercover he befriends another criminal named Nick. In a bust Sasha is accidentally shot and Nick is arrested. After Sasha recovers he goes to the New Alcatraz prision with Nick (Sasha is still undercover). In prison a criminal is about to be executed. He stole 200 million dollars in gold and hid it. The night he is supposed to be executed a group of criminals break into Alcatraz and try to convince the criminal to tell them where the gold is. Sasha and Nick team up to kill the bad guys and free the hostages that the criminal group has taken.

Sasha and Nick used to be friends before Sasha was shot. Nick goes to prison and finds out that Sasha is there too. An inmate who is on death row for stealing 200 million dollars of gold wants to speak to Sasha. Then the prison gets overrun by thieves who want to know where the gold is. Sasha and Nick lead the other inmates to rescue a hostage and take back their prison.
