Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Hanna

Saoirse Ronan is Hanna. At the start of the story she lives with her father alone, since her mother has been killed by the CIA. They live in a very remote place in northern Finland. This is because Hanna's father fears for her life. Hanna was part of a top secret experiment to create super soldiers. All the other mother and daughters in the program have been eliminated since the program was stopped except for Hanna. Hanna is the one loose end the CIA does not want to permit. Hanna's father trains her in self-defense for her own protection. She also becomes an expert in shooting with a bow and arrow. Hanna's father, Erik Heller (played by Eric Bana) also trains her to repeat a fake back story so that when she is ready to re-enter regular society she can do so and go undercover to kill her mother's assassin. Erik leaves it up to his daughter to decide the correct time when she is ready to avenge her mother's death by letting her turn on a radio that emits a distress signal to notify the CIA of their location.

When it comes time for Hanna to re-enter society, she triggers the radio which creates an immediate response by the CIA, led by Marissa Wiegler (played by Cate Blanchett), that is monitoring the signal. Marissa dispatches a group of agents to kill Hanna and her father. Hanna's father escapes but Hanna allows herself to be captured. Marissa knows they captured Hanna too easily so she sends another agent pretending to be Marissa to interview Hanna. Hanna easily kills this agent and escapes.

While Hanna is on the run, she befriends a family that gives her a ride in their motor home. Hanna needs to get to Berlin to meet up at the predetermined place set by her father. Marissa hires Isaacs (played by Tom Hollander) to chase her and capture her. Hanna stays just barely one step ahead of Isaacs, and makes it to Berlin. Hanna goes to an abandoned amusement park to meet up with one of her father's old associates. Hanna finally finds her father Erik at her grandmother's house, but her grandmother has already been killed by Marissa. Erik confesses that he is not Hanna's real father and all he was trying to do is to keep her from being killed by the CIA. Marissa finds them and kills Erik but Hanna escapes. Hanna, now completely alone, has the final showdown with Marissa in the amusement park.
Best part of story, including ending: It is intriguing that the CIA would have such a program to create super soldiers.

Best scene in story: I like the scene when Marissa sends in another agent to interview Hanna that pretends to be Marissa, especially because Hanna kills the agent so easily. Hanna's training is very good.

Opinion about the main character: Hanna holds it together while she is on her mission and nothing stops her from completing it. She is very well trained and very courageous in avenging her mother's death.
