Harriet favored another guy that she went on to marry. Despite her rejection towards the old man, he still like her very much and considered leaving his money to her family. But first Fulton puts Harriet's family to a test. He decided to take on another persona as a bizzarre artist that rents a room from Harriet and her husband Charles. Afterwards he arranged a hidden gift to them of $100,000 and to not only watch their reactions, but exactly how they will handle the money.

The couple is more than estatic than ever but Harriet is calling the shots on how they would spend the money. She wants them all to move in a manson, regardless everyone else opinion on it. She also wants to sway her daughter Millicent's decision to break up with her good-hearted boyfriend Dan for a much more wealthier and socially important man.
