Dark satire stars Winona Ryder as a popular girl fed up with her snobbish friends. She falls for juvenile delinquint Christian Slater, who seduces her into killing the popular kids.

This delightfully black (but sunny!) comedy featured Winona Ryder in an early role as a prospective member of an extremely exclusive high school clique run by three bitchy dolls named Heather. ("Come on, Heather, bulimia is sooo '87!") Veronica isn't sure she wants to belong to this cruel group, and eventually hooks into an edgy romance with a teenaged Jack Nicholson played by Christian Slater. The Heathers start turning up dead with suicide notes at hand. Ryder is wonderful -- sharp, sensitive, and strong -- and the film is a bleak hoot.
