Two teenage girls, Pauline and Juliette, become involved in an intense friendship with one another. Their relationship is unusually close--the two bathe together, create fantasy worlds and characters for each other, and write one another love letters. Their parents, noticing the odd behavior, become concerned and try to separate them. The anguish of the impending separation compels them tomurder of one of their mothers. This is a story based on a true crime event of 1954.
