Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Hollywood North

First time movie producer Bobby Myers (Matthew Modine) buys the rights to the novel "Lantern Moon." To get the funding from Peter Casey (Alan Thicke) he must procure an American movie star. Bobby goes to Hollywood and signs Michael Baytes (Alan bates) to star in his film. Bobby finally gets everything together and starts shooting in Toronto. There are problems from the start for Bobby: Baytes starts losing his mind, his assisstant starts doing cocaine, he is behind schedule, over budget, and is having this all filmed as a documentary crew follows the making of the movie. Just when everything seems to be going wrong, Bobby falls in love with Sandy (Deborah Kara Unger), the documentarian and splices the usable footage from his film with hers. He is able to sell the foreign rights to the film and everything is happy ever after.
