Pierre and Géraldine Ceyssac has just arrived at Phnom Penh, Cambodia. They intend to stay two months there in order to find a child to adopt and have the time to fill in all the documents necessary to bring him back to France.
After numerous false hopes and journeys through the country, they finally have the opportunity to adopt Lola, a six months old girl. But the young couple has now to collect all the required signatures from different Cambodian administrations. They soon get tired to endlessly wait in front of closed doors and to have to bribe each bureaucrat handling their case.
