A mysterious stranger named Barnabas shows up at Collinwood, the ancestral home of the Collins family. Barnabas claims to be a long lost cousin from England, but where did he really come from, what does he want with the Collins family, and why does he have significant knowledge of his own ancestor Barnabas who died in 1796? Barnabas bears a striking resemblance to his ancestor's portrait in the Collins' foyer; is Barnabas really a distant cousin from England, or something much more ominous and dangerous?
