Aside from the fact that Bracket has a competitor that is getting the same news lead as himself, he does not covered the lust he has for Peterson, as he once points out how great her legs look. But of course Peterson has only one thing on her mind and that is to get a great story. Aware that it is a possiblity that Peterson may have an outstanding story, Bracket remains strictly professional, going head to head with his rival, and keep bumping to one another in unexpected places.

Finally, the two reporters meet again, this time teaming up to investigate a story involving the countless death of laboratory animals. Bracket and Peterson soon find out the government covering up a new genetic drug that causes the death of labortory animals that were being tested. This same drug also speeds up dairy cows hormones at an unexpected rate. Their invegestigation ultimately gets the reporters in trouble which they are taken to Las Vegas for protection. Would Bracket and Peterson put their differences aside, and form a nice relationship with one another? And who will be the one that will have the best column written about the train accident at the end? Will it be possible of their discovery of the government secret will put them at risk losing their lives?
