It's his first trip outside the U.S.A. and he's not enjoying the stay, criticizing everything. His secret wish is to meet his daughter in France, a daughter he hasn't seen in two years. Joey is invited by Christian Gauthier, a university professor fan of his comic books and also the Phd supervisor of Joey's daughter Elsie. Meanwhile, Elsie hesitates to meet his father with whom she always had a love/hate relation.
