Claire Gauthier works in an insurance company. One day, she makes the acquaintance of the veterinary surgeon Laurent Kessler, who came to declare a water damage in his medical practice. Claire is intrigued by Kessler who, the following days, always finds a reason to visit her. As her husband and their small daughter went to spend a few days at the seaside, Claire agrees to pass a few evenings with Kessler in the local bars.

Although attracted by Kessler, Claire begins to suspect him of being the serial killer who already made four victims in the city. But when she learns that the police force arrested this serial killer, Claire decides to continue to see Kessler until the day her best Valerie friend is coldly assassinated by... Kessler who is actually the assassin seeked by everybody.
