Esther is a young woman working as an executive in a company. One night, while attending a party, she rips open her leg in a backyard. She doesn't feel anything and if it wasn't for the blood falling on the floor, she wouldn't have noticed her wound. On the next day, after having had her leg bandaged at the hospital, she feels the irrepressible urge to scratch it. Soon, she starts to mutilate herself, keeping pieces of her own flesh in her purse.
On the next days, Esther tries to cook up excuses for his boy-friend and her colleagues who don't understand why her wounds don't heal. She starts to suffer from hallucinations as the cuts she's inflicting upon herself become more and more serious. Finally, she locks herself up in an hotel room with a knife and her own body and eats herself.
