Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is captured by Soviet military led by Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett) during the cold war. Irina believes that the skull holds immense psychic powers. Indiana is taken to Area 51 where he must retrieve an alien artifact for her. After doing so, he escapes and survives a nuclear bomb testing in the dessert. He returns to the University where he teaches and meets Mutt (Shia LeBeouf). Mutt tells him that his old colleague Oxley is missing. Oxley has been searching for the Crystal Skulls in Peru. As they talk they are being tailed by Russian henchmen. After a wild chase they escape and then travel to Peru. Clues lead them to a conquistador grave and Indiana uncovers a Crystal Skull that was hidden by Oxley. The Soviets catch them and take them to a jungle camp where Oxley (who has been mentally impaired) and Indiana's ex, Marion are held captive. Marion tells Indiana that Mutt is really their son. After a daring escape through the jungle and river, they reach the ancient city of Akator. They enter a chamber full of other skulls. Irina arrives and places the lost skull onto a body. Soon supernatural things happen, with Irina absorbing the alien powers. With the power being too much for her, she disintegrates. The chamber crumbles, Indiana and company run for their lives and a humongous alien craft rises from the city and flies away. They return back to the States, where Indiana and Marion get married.

Best part of story, including ending: The adventure-filled scenes, and the clue-solving make this an exciting story to follow.

Best scene in story: When Indiana finds himself in a Nevada testing site that looks like a suburban neighborhood, the siren goes off and he knows he has to get out of there fast.

Opinion about the main character: That he's a professor and an action hero. It seems like an impossible combination but Indiana pulls it off effortlessly.
