A long-haired woman's presence is eerily felt, and an angry man physically assaults Renai. They decide to move to another house to escape the ghosts. However, the hauntings do not stop and manifest others.

A little boy also starts appearing in the house, as well as a scary looking red-faced figure that lives in Dalton's room. Josh's mom Lorraine is no stranger to the odd occurrences. She secretly knows that Josh acts like a sort of conduit for the supernatural beings, in fact, Josh was constantly followed by one as a child-- explaining his fear of having his photo taken.

Josh has apparently blocked these memories and only learns about this recently. Lorraine seeks the help of her friend Elise, a spiritualist, and true enough, they discover that Dalton has the same "abilities." Both father and son can astral project into a spirit world where tormented ghosts stay in limbo. Dalton's spirit remains there, leaving his body open for possession, explaining the mass gathering of sprits who want to take over his body.

Elise explains that Dalton's spirit and his body must reunite, and the only way to do it is for Josh to astral project into limbo to rescue him. Josh crosses over, and is attacked by the evil man, he murdered his family in the same house. Josh also fights the red-faced figure, which is a monster, who runs after Dalton. In the real world, Dalton's room is crawling with the sprits who want him... but, Josh fends them off, including the shadowy long-haired woman seen earlier. Josh and Dalton navigate through the dark, muddled, and confusing world of limbo, and finally get out.

Father and son return to the real world. Everything seems normal. But Elise gets jittery and photographs Josh who attacks her in a rage. Josh strangles Elise, he has been possessed by the long-haired woman.
Best part of story, including ending: This movie scared the heck out of me, because of the idea of a ghost following its "host." Not being able to physically leave a place to get rid of them and having them pursue you obsessively.

Best scene in story: When the red-faced figure jumps out of the corner of the room.

Opinion about the main character: Josh's selflessness knowing he must do the unthinkable and rescue his son from the netherworld and face the unknown.
