Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Irma Vep

IRMA VEP is a movie written and directed by Olivier Assayas in 1996.

Hong-Kong action movie star Maggie Cheung arrives in Paris in order to shoot a remake of Louis Feuillade "Les Vampires" a serial released in 1915. She doesn't speak French at all but manages to be appreciated by the crew. Maggie becomes so impregnated by her role that, like the heroin of the movie, she sneaks off her hotel room at night and robs the jewels of a hotel guest. The director of the movie, Jean-Pierre Léaud, suddenly suffers from a nervous breakdown and the production is desperately searching for a new director.
