Jericho is an interesting mix of gunfights and mystery in a western setting. The movies starts off with a payroll robbery where the local sheriff is killed. One of the robbers is badly injured during the commission of the crime. The robber's jump on a train and head out of town . Jericho (Mark Valley) is thrown from the train by two of the robbers. He is later found by Joshua aka Preacher (Leon Coffee) who nurses him back to health other than Jericho suffering from amnesia.

The two become fast friends and embark on adventures throughout the Southwest. This includes gunfights in bars, with Spanish cattle rustlers, panning for gold and barroom brawls. The whole time, Jericho is disturbed by flashback of memories and he longs to find out the truth about his past including the identity of a mysterious woman he keeps seeing. He believes that he is responsible for the death of the sheriff. Eventually, he decides to return to the small town where it all began to confront the truth of what happened that fateful night.
