KIKUJIRO is a movie written and directed by Takeshi Kitano in 1999. Masao, a 10 years old kid, lives with his grandmother in Tokyo. It's summer, school is over and nobody plays with him. He decides then to meet the mother he has never met and is trusted to Takeshi Kitano, the friend of a friend of his grandmother. Together, they will begin a journey throughout Japan and encounter strange people along the road.
