Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Killing Me Softly

This movie stars Heather Graham as Alice, a website designer in London. While going to work one day Alice stops at a crosswalk and is enamored by the good looking man she sees beside her. He walks into a book store as she crosses the street to her job. After a meeting where she is preoccupied with thoughts of this man she goes down stairs and finds him in the book store where in soap opera fashion he, with few words, gets her into his car and home where they have lots of sex.

Alice falls for this stranger Adam (Joseph Fiennes) who turns out to be a famous mountaineer. She leaves her comfortable but ordinary relationship with her boyfriend Jake and goes back to Adam's apartment and meets a woman who is Adam's sister. The romance element dies down mid-way through and it becomes more of a mystery as Alice starts getting hang ups on her cell phone and mysterious letters questioning her decision to be with Adam and questioning his past. Alice finally goes digging through Adam's closet and finds a letter with an adressed envelope of a woman and decides to pursue it further by going there where she finds out the woman is missing. All this builds up to a final showdown where we are lead to believe Adam was the killer of this woman in a mountain climbing accident that wasn't so accidental.
