David Caruso plays an ex-con who is trying to go straight. He used to boost cars for a chop shop. He decides to pull one last job to help out his cousin, but unfortunately gets caught. While in prison, the prosecutor comes to him and tells him he'll cut him a deal if he'll give up his boss. Unfortunately he does but the bad boss thinks the cousin gave him up and kills the cousin. Now Caruso has his own reasons for wanting him taken down. But at first he wants to just get out of prison and live a clean life. But the prosecutor promises him a clean slate and no more harassment if he promises to help him by going undercover. The bad guy is played by Nicholas Cage, whose recently deceased father left him his illegal empire.
