This is the story of a teenage boy who wants to bring his family back together 10 years after his father passed away. Cal Chetley (Devon Graye) is a smart, small fifteen year old boy who lives in a small town, Sallisaw, Oklahoma with his family. Cal wants to bring his family back together 10 years after his father has passed away.

Cal lives in Sallisaw, Oklahoma with his family. This town is known for their wrestling team. Mike (John Cena), Cal's older brother, who once won the wrestling championship, left Cal and his mother. His mother is Sharon (Patricia Clarkson). He had left just shortly after their father died from a car accident, nearly ten years ago.
Sharon still has the feeling of loss from her husband passing away. She tries to connect with her disconnected older son, Mike. However, she has a relationships with Cal, her younger son, who tries to reconnect the family. Harry Newman (Danny Glover), also known as Red, shows up in Cal's life when he really needs him. Harry gets Cal to sign up for the wrestling team and he wants Mike to train him. This provides for an emotional untangling of the family connections.

I really like this story because even at 15 years old, Cal is dedicated to getting his family reconnected after his father's death.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene was when Cal signs up for the wrestling team. He knows that his brother used to enjoy wrestling so he pulls at Mike's interests by joining the team.
Opinion about the main character:
I really like that Cal seems older than he really is. Even though Cal is only fifteen years old, he is wise beyond those years.
