Victor is sent to jail after having accidentally wounded David, one of the cops who tried to arrest him. Six years later, Victor returns home. David, paralyzed, has married Helena, Victor's love. While Victor is beginning a love affair with Clara, the wife of Sancho, David's ex-partner, David is persuaded that Victor has come back for Helena.
