After surviving Paris, the Kettles are, as the title tells us, back at home. This time, they're trying to secure a scholarship to an ag college for their son. First, they must impress Alphonsus Mannering (Mobray), a stuffed-shirt representative from the magazine offering the prize. As always, hilarious hijinks ensue when high brow meets hicks.

This is the sixth film in the series of Ma and Pa Kettle films, based on characters from the 1947 film “The Egg and I,” The series was exceedingly popular with audiences.
