Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Mad Max

In the not-very-distant future, probably after a nuclear war, order has broken down and the highways are extremely violent in a dystopic Australia. Max Rockatansky (Gibson), a police pursuit driver, is targeted by a vicious nomadic biker gang that ends up slaughtering his partner, wife, and child. Max goes almost insane with rage and hits the road to hunt down the killers. This is an exhilarating but nicely paced 93 minutes, made in 1979 by director George Miller on a shoestring budget. (Its budget-to-profit ratio of $400,000 to $100 million set a world record.)

"A few years from now..." society has broken down and chaos rules the roads. The cops are every bit as deadly as the nomad biker gangs. Max's wife and child are run down by a biker gang and he goes on a revenge hunt. Greatest car-and-motorcycle chase scenes ever.
