This biopic is based on the lives of the Curies.
Somewhat oddly, the film was billed as “Mr. and Mrs. Miniver together again” thanks to the re-pairing of Garson and Pidgeon from MRS. MINIVER and BLOSSOMS IN THE DUST. It had about a dozen Academy Award nominations.
