Robin Renucci's sister has disappeared after having stayed a few months at the famous TV host Philippe Noiret's home. Renucci, on the pretext of writing Noiret's biography, manages to be invited to Noiret's. There, he makes the acquaintance of Catherine, Noiret's godchild. Catherine, suffering from a strange nervous illness, hardly leaves her room. Renucci will fall in love with her and discover that Noiret is methodically ruining Catherine who is a wealthy heiress.
