The Farelly brothers must've been kinda burnt out because this movie wasn't nearly as funny as I expected. After such hysterical comedies like "Dumb and Dumber", "There's Something About Mary", and "Kingpin" this film doesn't quite measure up. I could see what they were trying to do but about one-third through they lost it. Jim Carrey is a great actor but even he couldn't save this movie. His split personality and his bouncing between kind, sensitive Charlie and rude, rambunctions Hank became too repetitive as the film limped to the ending. I wish I hadn't seen this film at all; this way I would've thought it was better. But that 's just my opinion.

Jim Carrey is a mild mannered cop, until one day people's pushing and getting away with things, makes CHARLIE(carrey) form HANK...who doesn't take any crap. Another gross-out hilarious comedy from the Farrely's (Something about Mary)
