A woman, Hermia, is forced to marry a man she doesn't like, Demetrius. She likes Lysander and Lysander likes Hermia. They plan to elope to the forest. Another woman, Helena, likes Demetrius, but he hates her. In the forest a spell causes both Lysander and Demetrius to fall for Helena. They now must find a way to break out of the spell. Meanwhile a man and a woman plan to marry, while a group of actors plan a play, and a fairy king struggles with his queen.

The Movie begins where a young women named Hermia has the love of two men, Lysander and Demetrius. Hermia loves Lysander, but her father wants her to marry Demetrius. Unfortunately, for Demetruis, Hermia's bestfriend Helena is madly in love with him, and won't leave him alone. As the beginning progresses the Duke gives Hermia the choice of either marring Demetrius or she must spend the rest of her life as a nun. Afterwards, Lysander gets this notion of leaving Athens and going to his aunts house where he and Hermia may elope.

lovers Hermia and Lysander elope into the forest for they are forbidden to marry. They are followed by Friend of Hermia's Helena, and Demetrius, jealous of Hermia's love for Lysander. At the same time, the duke is getting married so a group of actors a composing a play in the same forest. The forest is also inhabited by jthe feuding King and Queen of the Fairies. All these stories get twisted up into each other but it all turns out well in the end.
