A team of killers are assembled to avenge the victims of the Munich Massacre of 1972. Avner is an ex-Mossad agent tasked by the Israeli government to hunt down and kill those responsible for the 1972 Munich Olympic killings. He leads a team composed of a forger, an explosives expert, a driver, and a cleaner. Their killing assignments send them around the world, to Rome, Paris, Cyprus, Lebanon, Athens, London, Spain, and even Holland. They either gun down their victims, or infiltrate their hotels/homes to plant bombs. Their mission is an extremely top secret and dangerous one, since they hide from other international military/intelligence agencies. Their lives are permeated with secrets and lies, often unsure of who to trust. When Avner and the team begin to doubt their mission, two of them are mysteriously killed. Avner returns to Israel as an "unspoken hero," which he resents. He then goes to New York to reunite with his wife and child, and tries to bury the horror of what he experienced.

Best part of story, including ending:
Because it tackles the idea of whether killing for revenge is justified or plain wrong.
Best scene in story:
The last scene showing the skyline with the World Trade Center makes you think if such events in the movie are a precursor to the terrorist attacks of 2001.
Opinion about the main character:
Avner is a soldier who is committed to following orders, however, his morality is questioned when he starts to ponder whether enough is enough.
