Matt Lattanzi plays a high school student who has done poorly on his final exams. In order to keep his place at Yale he must retake his French final and score at least 85%. Unfortunately he hates French and and he doesn't want to go to Yale either just because his father went there. He really wants to go to UCLA and study astronomy. At any rate, his father hires a tutor, played by Karen Caye, to make sure he passes that test. In the meantime he and his best friends played by Clark Brandon and Crispin Glover are all trying to have their first sexual experience. Instead he finds himself attracted to the tutor, even though she is 29 years old.
