Detailed plot synopsis reviews of National Lampoons Van Wilder

Van Wilder is ends up being in college for 7 years. For the past six semesters he has made no effort to graduate and instead is known to throw parties and and fundraisers. Not only has college become a way of not getting him ready for life, his father decides to put an end to his irresponsibility and gives him some tough love by putting a stop at paying his tuition. Meanwhile, Gwen a star reporter, is asked to write an article on Van. It proves to be so popular that it gets published on the graduation front page. Van happens to interpret Gwen's attempts to schedule interviews as a way of her being romantically interested. She gets quite put off by this because she already has a boyfriend Richard Bagg. Richard is the president of the student union and leader of the fraternity. He takes offense at Van trying to score with his girlfriend and a rivalry develops between the two guys. The rivalry turns into repulsive pranks they perform on each other.

Best part of story, including ending: The story proves to be disgusting in its humor and all over the place. It lacked direction and originality. It is mildly humorous but the movie was forgettable and not worth watching more than once.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene would be when Gwen and Richard are arguing. Richard calls Gwen and leaves her a long voice mail while shes in her room and could hear everything. She later decides to answer and says, "Why don't you go and release your own pressure, and go fuck yourself."

Opinion about the main character: What I didn't like about the main character is his lack of focus and immaturity.
