Lucy is sent to a small town in Minnesota to oversee the restructuring of a manufacturing plant. But coming from Miami, she is greeted with a frosty reception from the locals and she has to get used to the cold weather and icy roads.   She quickly makes enemies with Ted, who it turns out is the local union rep, and someone she is going to have to work with. The company wants Lucy to work on re-structuring and eliminating some staff but as she comes to know her employees, she does not want to do.

Eventually she warms up to the town and the is accepted by the community but then she is ordered to shut down the plant. But, she is not able to do this and reconsiders what she is doing and decides to adapt the plant from manufacturing yogurt to tapioca. But they are so successful that the company decides to sell the plant and capitalize on the success. But Lucy comes up with a way that the employees can purchase the plant and profit when the company profits.

Best part of story, including ending: It shows that people can change if shown some attention and love.

Best scene in story: When Lucy joins the carollers on Christmas. It is when she finally feels that she belongs.

Opinion about the main character: She learns to adapt to small town and be accepted.
